Texicana Sunday with Stephanie Urbina Jones
Following the San Antonio tradition of celebrating life with family and friends, San Antonio born recording artist Stephanie Urbina Jones is teaming up with the Cove to create a monthly series called "Texicana Sunday at the Cove."
The event will run from 12:30 to 5:30 the first Sunday of the month and will be free Tex - Mex- Fun for the whole family. There will be a Pinata and face painting for kids, Arriba! Jalapeno eating contest , and special performances by Tex-Mex- Mariachis and more.
"I have always loved the Cove " said Stephanie. Any time I am in town my daughter and I meet my tio there and have a wonderful time. " I really appreciate the family environment, good entertainment and the healthy delicious choices on the menu and of course the Blue Bell ice cream to top it all off! " I am honored and excited to create this event with Lisa and Sam the owners of the Cove." Jones said.
Jones has been busy over the past six months , releasing her most recent project entitled "The Texicana Sessions" which she lovingly refers to as her "Fiesta Platter of Love" as it celebrates her hispanic-country South Texas roots in song and was a labor of love. The album is primarily English but sprinkled with some Spanglish, but if your from Texas especially South Texas you will get it!
This past Spring Jones finished a 2 month radio tour to promote her last single "Como Se Llama,Mama" ( What's Your Name Mama?) featuring Texas Tornado legend Augie Meyers. The song went to #11 across Texas and she has been busy catching up to the opportunities coming her way. One of those opportunities was to be offered a sponsorship with Arriba! Salsa out of Houston, TX. Jones has represented their product statewide and loves it!!! "I love their salsa and the people behind it!"
